I may be over-reacting some to the over-spiritualization of Christ's message, but I feel like we don't often focus on the physical here-and-now parts of it. I think Jesus did intend for us to change the world, and though he knew that people would be oppressed, it's not what he wanted. I think Jesus' message did have a spiritual component to it, but I still think a big part of what he was teaching was a revolution on earth.
